Our Philosophy
The Inner Self is the invisible self
that is connected to the Universal Source.
There is an invisible world that is a vast, hidden reality that lies just beneath, within, and beyond the world we see. It exerts influence on us and contains our Inner Self - our unconscious self, a hidden root self that holds who we really are and our purpose.
Our consults are designed to connect with the Inner Self using our 36 Image Types system that provides a framework for understanding the whole self, so you can navigate life with clarity, power, and feel more aligned, confident, and connected to your true nature.
Our Focus
In every woman is the desire to fulfill her purpose. This desire comes from her core and propels her to making certain life choices and to express herself in a particular way.
Yet, while the way women explore their image and identity has evolved, many women remain dissatisfied with life's dynamics, feel they have been playing the ‘part’, or are discouraged by societal stereotypes or expectations which are not a fit. They feel restless, or unfulfilled and limited.
They recognize there are numerous ways to look, to feel great, to be empowered and to express who they are. They are less swayed by others' opinions or expectations, and recognize that others do not define them.
However, the questions they now seek answered are more profound.

About us
Sarah J Engen
Sarah Engen (previously Whittaker), recognized also as the "Wardrobe Shrink" by the Press, has dedicated over 25 years to helping clients with their image and identity so they can see themselves in their true light. Training with House of Color in 1997, she then set up InsideOut Profiling in 2000 and developed her 36 Image Types system using archetypes to connect to the unconscious so women could perceive their authentic self. After relocating to the U.S. in 2004, she developed virtual consults to further serve clients around the globe. Her approach has been recognized by the press in the U.K., Europe, and the U.S. She has worked with brands such as L'Oreal, Ponds, and Marks & Spencers. Her system has developed into the Archetype Consults she offers today with the aim of exploring the Invisible World - the unconscious self and our core nature.
